What Is The Accessibility Advisory Group?

Accessibility Advisory Group LogoThe Accessibility Advisory Group (AAG) is a group of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to the advancement of disability justice at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Currently, this AAG is working toward equitability advancement by applying Universal Design principles to Social Work environments. We envision an academic environment that is inherently accommodating for the largest number of people and ultimately respectful of an individual’s privacy regarding self-disclosure. The work of the AAG furthers social work values by purposefully recognizing and actively affecting structural systems to make academic experiences more equitable.
