Dialogue Engagement and Learning Series (DEALS)

The Dialogue Engagement and Learning Series will allow SSW staff, faculty, and students to explore the foundations of Intergroup Dialogue (IGD) and practice communicating across differences. IGD is intended to foster an increased understanding of commonalities and differences between and among groups, develop dialogue skills to better communicate and work through conflicts, form alliances, and empower groups and individuals to take collective action for social change.

Affinity Groups & Spaces

Spring 2025 Affinity spaces Description Below

Affinity spaces provide an opportunity for people to connect with others who share aspects of their identity. The spaces are meant to be a hybrid of “doing” and “being”. By focusing on “being” together, the goal is to prompt reflection rather than structuring it to respond to all of the needs of the School of Social Work. Spaces are open to all members of the SSW community and will be facilitated by social work faculty and staff.

Contact the Affinity Group Coordinator if interested in Facilitating or Participating in Affinity Groups
