Professor with students outside of ssw building

Donors to the School of Social Work have provided critical resources that support students, community outreach, research, DEI programs, and the School itself. Below are some fundraising initiatives that donors can choose to support.

Immediate Impact Fund (Greatest Need)

Giving to the School’s Immediate Impact Fund is the School’s greatest need. By making a contribution to the School’s Immediate Impact Fund, you provide flexible and unrestricted funds that enables Dean Judy Postmus to direct funds to units and programs that the School needs most. Student Support

Individual donors can directly impact social work students by making a gift to one of our many scholarships. Scholarship donors reduce the financial burden of a social work education and enable students to achieve their career goals. The Student Emergency Fund was established in 2020 to provide financial assistance for students facing a crisis; by making a gift to this fund, you are helping relieve some financial stress for students in a challenging situation.

PhD Program

The PhD Program provides a thorough graduate program that prepares students to become social work scholars and educators. Donors can support the PhD Program Fund or support fellowship endowments like the Donna Harrington Fellowship or the Kong Jin Fellowship. Click here to make a gift to the PhD Program

The Center for Restorative Change (formerly known as SWCOS)

The Center for Restorative Change furthers the School’s mission to advance social justice and promote the well-being of individuals and communities. Click here to learn more about how donors can impact the Center.

Behavioral Health and Well-Being (BHWell)

BHWell is committed to developing, implementing and disseminating collaborative research, training and education in emerging adult and adult behavioral health and well-being. Click here to learn more about how donors can impact BHWell.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion uses the DEI Fund to help fund some of their important initiatives, including the Book Loan Program, speakers facilitating trainings and workshops, and events. By making a gift to the DEI Fund, you are supporting important initiatives that make the School a better learning community for everyone. Click here to make a gift to the DEI Fund.
