Ardith Allison, LCSW-C is a full-time third-year student. She earned her MSW from UMB in 2016. With nearly eight years of experience, she has worked primarily in clinical and case management roles across hospital, child welfare, and behavioral health settings. Her research focuses on understanding the mental health experiences of Black/African American youth and adults, with a particular emphasis on how past trauma-related experiences shape overall well-being. Additionally, Ardith is deeply interested in examining macro-level stressors—especially those that drive systemic inequities—and exploring the role of race and other intersecting identities in influencing outcomes within her population of interest.
