Jihyeong is an international student from South Korea. Prior to joining the Ph.D. program, she worked as a researcher at the Sejong Welfare Foundation in 2019. From 2020 to 2022, she participated in several research projects. One of them focused extensively on the "COVID-19 Mental Health Survey” funded and conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korean Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Jihyeong’s research centers on 1) challenges at the intersection of aging and disability; 2) how experiences of long-term disabilities and early-onset disabilities are associated with aging processes and those people’s well-being in later life; 3) understanding the burden of family caregivers; and 4) assessing policies for people with disabilities.
