Yancy Padilla is a licensed clinical social worker with expertise in evidence-based practices, including trauma-specific and early childhood interventions. As the daughter of Latino immigrant parents, she has dedicated her career to serving Latinx immigrants, providing psychotherapy to children, youth, and their families in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Yancy's research interest focuses on culturally adaptive trauma-informed interventions for Latinx immigrants in early childhood and families. Drawing from her extensive experience in direct services, she comprehends the barriers to mental health access and utilization among the Latinx population. She is particularly passionate about creating interventions tailored for Spanish speakers, with a special emphasis on supporting families through early childhood interventions.

Exploring culturally adaptive interventions for Latinx immigrants; examining the impacts of cultural factors, early childhood experiences, trauma, and the influence of race and ethnicity on Latinx well-being.
